PayEx (Swedbank)

The connection depends on two types of terminals, a mobile and a standard PED. The communication protocol is the same but how it is connected is different, depending on the mobile PED being set to Bluetooth or Ethernet connection.

Connection is session-based, where connection is kept alive between calls to make sure additional verification processes are available in the POS.

Mobile

Android and iOS integration to mobile terminals (iSMP / iSMP4).

Settings

  • Connection: Type of connection, Bluetooth or Ethernet, depending on how the PED is configured.
  • IP Address: The IP Address of the PED, if Ethernet is selected as a connection type, otherwise leave the default settings. IP Address can be retrieved in the settings on the PED.

Standard

Connection to an TCP/IP connected terminal (iPP350).

Settings

  • IP Address: The IP Address of the terminal, displayed on start-up and can be retrieved in the settings on the PED.
  • Main Port: Default value is 5188. Note: Contact PayEx (Swedbank) if communication cannot be established.

  • Purchase
    • Cash back supplied in POS.
    • Tip supplied in POS and on PED.
    • Surcharge supplied in POS.
    • Tax supplied in POS.
  • Refund
    • Stand-alone refund only.
  • Void
    • Only last successful transaction can be voided.
  • Get last transaction
  • Cancel
    • Cancel request can be sent from POS.
  • Verification
    • Signature verification for ongoing transaction.
    • Voice authentication for ongoing transaction.

Gift cards

If the card to be used is supported by PayEx (Swedbank), the following functions are supported:

  • Activate gift card with value.
  • Add value to gift card.
  • Balance inquiry.
  • Deactivate gift card.
