PED needs pairing before communication can start.

Settings

  • Printer on Terminal: If false, the PED does not have the option to print.
  • User Name: Supplied by Verifone.
  • Password: Supplied by Verifone.
  • Admin Key: Supplied by Verifone. Used if authentication is changed or a new PED is used.
  • IP Address: Address of the PED, accessible on the terminal itself.
  • Main Port: Default value is 25000, details supplied by Verifone.
  • Secondary Port: Default value is 25001, details supplied by Verifone.
  • Timeout Value: Value in milliseconds, default set to 30000.
  • Delay Value: Value in milliseconds, default set to 300.
  • Receipt Line Width: Number of characters in each receipt line, default set to 44.
  • Predefined Amount: Used for tokens, values can be set to 0, 1, or 2. Default set to 1.

EFT

  • Purchase
    • Cash back is supported on PED.
    • Tip is supported on PED.
  • Refund
    • Stand-alone refund only.
  • Void is not supported
  • Get last transaction
  • Verification

    When a result has been returned from the PED, it might need additional information (Verification) to finish the authorization process and doing so displaying various details and allowing a reprint request to be sent to the PED.

    The POS must be able to manage those requests.

    • Signature verification, reprint must be an option (printing the last receipt created).
    • Voice authentication, displaying text indicating details on whom to call for verification.
    • Verify receipt printing, needed if PED handles the printing of the receipts and it did not succeed (print roll finished).

Printing

  • Print last receipt (IReprintLast).
  • Print receipt (IReprintReceiptType), prints a receipt that might be missing.
